ABOUT US

We are Jane & Ralph Maloney, we live in Cambridgeshire, plenty of open fields for long walks with our two dogs Zorba and Timber. Zorba is our German Shepherd and Timber is a Collie x.

We were granted our affix Myrtos German Shepherds in October 2005. Why Myrtos? After reading the Shepherd Poem - I Saw a Glimmering Vision, that is just how we felt after seeing Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia on our honeymoon. That too is a glimmering vision as shown below, and it did take our breath away. I'm sure there are lots of lovely places all over the world, but this particular beach really is beautiful.

I SAW A GLIMMERING VISION, IT TOOK MY BREATH AWAY....

We have both kept dogs whilst with our previous partners, but neither of us have had a German Shepherd before. I have always admired the breed and so it was when we decided to have another dog, we were lucky enough to find Tracey and Paul of Agios German Shepherds.

Zorba came to live with us at 9 weeks and  brought endless joy and laughter. He was such a character and we spent hours on end just watching him play and get up to mischief. Timber was about eight at the time and he became like a puppy himself, always chasing Zorba and playing tug of war etc.What fun that summer was for all of us...

Zorba is a large German Shepherd, long coat, superb temperament, easy to train. His hip scores are 8 and 7 and he is heamophilia clear.
